Croatia Wedding Weekend
Dubrovnik, CroatiaWanting a “memorable, magical sort of vacation,” Fabiola and Jason opted for the sunny, historic Dubrovnik to celebrate their wedding. This Croatian city made famous as King’s Landing in “Game of Thrones,” was looking far more romantic as the couple married Friday morning at Palača Sponza. This 16th-century palace was utterly transformed into a floral fantasy of peonies, jasmine, and tuberose by Thierry Boutemy. A lunch of Croatian specialties followed, while in the evening we transformed a theater to a Baroque Barchannal Shabbat Dinner Party. Guests then dropped it like it’s hot to surprise performer -- Snoop Dogg! The festivities continued Saturday with an afternoon picnic lunch on nearby Lokrum Island before heading to the majestic Fort Lovrijenac for an evening of dinner and dancing. Winding down the weekend, guests enjoyed a leisurely final day at the local beach club.
